Pedestrian Killed In Wellington

A female pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Wellington last night.

A St John Central spokesman said they were called to the incident on Garden Rd in Northland, Wellington at 9.10pm.

Wellington Free Ambulance attended and assisted the woman who was in critical condition when they arrived.

The woman, who was in her early 40s, died at the scene, the spokesman said.

Police wouldn't comment on the incident but said more details would be released shortly.
