One of New Zealand's most well-known netballers says she's struggling to find potential suitors- so she's signing up for Tinder.

Statuesque Silver Fern Maria Tutaia, who recently starred in the team's narrow Netball World Cup loss against Australia, tells this week's edition of Woman's Day she's struggling to find anyone worth dating.

That means she's taking her team mate's suggestions to join Tinder seriously.

"I'd like to date ... but there's no one who's standing out for me at the moment. I'm happy dating myself," the 28-year-old tells the mag.

"One of the girls in the team was talking about (Tinder) the other day, actually. She told me to get it ... I'm downloading it today!"

However, Tutaia seemed confused about how the dating app worked, asking Woman's Day "Is it swipe left for no and right for yes?"

Tutaia has been single since dating AFL hunk Kurt Tippett from the Sydney Swans last year 2014, and splitting with Kiwi rugby player Roi Hansell-Pune in 2013.
