Photos Reveal Creepy Abandoned 'Wizard Of Oz' Theme Park

A North Carolina theme park known as the Land of Oz has been showcased in images taken by pseudonymous photographer Seph Lawless.

After opening in 1970 and initially being very popular, customers were diverted away to larger theme parks and it closed in 1980 due to financial ruin.

However, in the early 1990s they decided to open the park once a year to the public - and now the popularity has surged yet again. This year's event had 7000 tickets available and they all sold out within two and a half weeks.

Lawless told Dailymail.com: 'This place was especially creepy because of the large trees with faces'.
