Jen's letter to The Hits:

Hi Ben!

Thank you so much to you, the Hits and Air NZ (and any others involved!!!) from both Nik and I.

We had a whirlwind trip with some amazing experiences.  Got photobombed by some Italian dudes at The Griffith Observatory and while there saw hummingbirds and an eagle, hit The Citidel Outlet Shopping Centre and danced our feet off at Coldplay all in one day.  OMG  Coldplay was EPIC!!!!  I’m gonna try n get some tickets for December, we were jumping up and down the whole time!

We rented a car so we were able to get around LA wherever and whenever we wanted, I loooooove driving in LA.  Some of the random things we experienced – an urban oil field- #weirdinacity!  Monster trucks on the Freeway, the driver said thanks when I took a photo haha!  The odd person talking to themselves, an amazing little Japanese food bar right next to the Viper Room on the sunset strip.  Balboa Island - amazing little shops and houses, had dinner at the inn there and listened to a very talented guy playing Spanish guitar – we swapped e-mail addresses.  Disneyland – what a visual feast, ahhhmazing – obviously had to spend a full day here!  The Hollywood walk of fame, Manns Chinese theatre, just wow.  Met a kiwi on the flight over to LA who has lived in LA before, we stayed in touch and he showed us around Santa Monica Boulevard and Venice, incl a lunch on a rooftop lounge with incredible views of the Pacific before we headed home.  A dude grabbed my arse in a t-shirt shop on Venice beach – and he worked there!!!!!  OMG – seriously!  Also got fully patted down by security at LAX because my top had too much bling and caused a sequence of events hahaha, so much fun!

Seeing FedEx vehicles, the yellow school buses and fire hydrants were all moments of – this is sooo cool – we’re in the STATES!  It was our first trip for both of us, so everything was new and exciting!

We feel incredibly grateful and blessed to have had this opportunity, it was an epic five days.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Love much

Jen and Nik
