A study has found that those of us who own dogs may be happier than us with cats in the family!

As if we needed another reason to buy a puppy...

Research from The General Social Survey, a study from the US, revealed that a higher percentage of people who owned dogs found they enjoyed their lives more than those who had cats as pets.

Research from 2018 showed that 36% of dog owners defined themselves as "very happy," in comparison to 18% of cat owners.

Those who owned both cats AND dogs were also asked the same question, and 28% of owners answered that their lives were "very happy".

So maybe the answer is to have both?!
