Netflix's Ted Bundy movie starring Zac Efron is out TODAY

Ever since it was announced that Zac Efron was cast as Ted Bundy in Netflix’s new true crime movie - we knew it would be one to not to miss!

Well, cancel your plans because Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is out TODAY.

The movie revolves around the serial murderer during the time of his trial in the 1980s and delves into his relationship with Liz Kendall.

The film is based on the book The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy by Elizabeth Kendall Bundy’s long-time girlfriend – played by To The Bone actress Lily Collins – who refused to believe the horrifying truth about him for years.

Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker – known for his work Netflix’s documentary Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tape – Extremely Wicked also stars Kaya Scodelario, Jeffrey Donovan, Angela Sarafyan, Dylan Baker, Brian Geraghty, Terry Kinney, Haley Joel Osment, James Hetfield, Grace Victoria Cox, Jim Parsons and John Malkovich.

Fans on YouTube noted how surprised they were to see Zac Efron take on such a dark acting role.

"Who would have thought Zac would go from High School Musical to Ted Bundy in his career?," one person commented.

"I am never going to see Troy Bolton the same," another added, referring to Disney character that helped launch Zac’s career.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is set to be released on the streaming service in New Zealand today, Friday, May 3.
