With The Hits $50,000 Panic Room in full swing, it's only natural to become a bit frazzled.

If you're feeling the pressure there are some things you can do to help calm your nerves.

Here are our five top tips for dealing with stress that will be sure to help prep for stepping into the Panic Room:

1. Avoid Caffeine

Yes, coffee gives us a lovely hit of caffeine to help wake us up in the morning, but if you're already feeling stressed it could string you out even more. Try swap that flat white for a herbal tea instead. Mmm, nice and soothing.

2. Exercise

If the metaphorical weight to win a part of the $50,000 cash is too much, try picking up some physical weights instead ... or go for a leisurely jog! Exercise will help get rid of those "fight or flight" hormones, adrenaline and cortisol that are building up in your body and will make you as cool as a cucumber.

3. Meditate

Nothing says 'chilled-out' more than meditation, so take a few moments to get zen. Meditation and mindfulness can help you release the emotions that could have been causing stress.

4. Get More Sleep

Getting a full nights rest will help make you ready for the Panic Room and will also refresh your mind and body, as well as lower your stress levels.

5. Smile and Laugh

When we're feeling worried we often hold tension in our face. Changing your frown upside down can actually help relieve some of that physical tension and having a good laugh can release endorphins, which make us feel good.

So put some of these tips into practice and you might have more of a chance for keeping your cool when you play the $50,000 Panic Room daily on The Hits.
