So get excited, because there's crazy new optical illusion that's breaking the internet this week!

Originally shared on reddit, the colourful image is said to turn white if you stare at it for long enough.

The rainbow of colours literally disappear before your very own eyes!

The illusion was created in 1804 by Swiss physician Ignaz Paul Vital Troxler.

Known as Troxler's fading, apparently the reason the colours disappear is because the brain stops paying attention to visual scenes that don’t change.
