Harrison Ford reveals the real reason he took economy class on Air NZ flight

Jono and Ben caught up with the one and only Harrison Ford to hear all about his new movie Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Reflecting on the longevity of the "Indiana Jones" franchise, Ford expressed his astonishment at still portraying the iconic character after 42 years.

He attributed the enduring success to the audience's acceptance of the films and the solid foundation laid by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas in the first movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Ford emphasized the importance of a strong story and character to sustain such a lengthy adventure.

The interview also touched on Ford's down-to-earth nature, as he shared his experience of flying economy on Air New Zealand, much to the surprise of fellow passengers. Ford humorously acknowledged that he is a pilot in real life and quipped that he's a better pilot than Chewbacca.

Jono and Ben also shared their admiration for Ford's recent skydiving escapade in New Zealand, to which Ford jokingly replied that he mostly prefers walking tracks.

As the interview came to a close, Jono and Ben seized their chance to make Ford smile with their carefully crafted joke.

However, time constraints led to a comical anticlimax, reminiscent of being rushed out of someone's house while still trying to convey a final message. Despite the missed opportunity, Ford graciously acknowledged the effort, even though he couldn't help but note: "What a disaster!"

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is out in cinemas now.
