Kiwi woman reveals brush with a 'Tinder Swindler' conman who tried to woo her

By now many of you will have watched Netflix’s addictive documentary The Tinder Swindler.

In case you haven’t caught up yet, it follows a man who sweeps women off their feet with flashes of wealth before he lures them into giving him thousands of dollars.

Well, it turns out one Kiwi Hits listener Jordan had her own experience with another 'Tinder Swindler' and her story is scarily similar.

She revealed to Jono and Ben that on the very first date, he flew into Wellington and booked a fancy hotel to wine and dine here and even tried to buy her diamonds!

But after a month he had completely disappeared and Jordan later found out that he was an "international conman" who had stolen millions of dollars.

In fact, he had been on the run in New Zealand and there was even a warrant out for his arrest!

Luckily Jordan avoided getting ripped off by him - but wow, what a story!
