Matty and PJ react to an unbelievable pet story

It started as every Kiwi farm kid’s worst nightmare and ended like something straight out of a movie.

A beloved pet lamb was accidentally loaded onto a truck bound for the meat works. Panic set in as the family realised the heartbreaking mistake.

On The Hits Drive with Matty & PJ, audiences were left wide-eyed as the story unfolded. The family made desperate calls to the meat works, pleading for a chance to bring their little lamb back. Amazingly, the company agreed - with one condition: They could come down and try to find her. But they had to call her name. And she had to come to them.

Standing among hundreds of sheep, the family called out, unsure if she would even recognise them. Against all odds, she heard them. She came.

Safe, sound, and reunited with her family, the lamb’s miraculous return turned a nightmare into a heartwarming story listeners couldn’t stop smiling at.
