Something for our pooches this week! This recipe came up on my Facebook feed and our dog Hogan loves both bananas and peanut butter so I took it as a sign to make it all about my boy and get in the kitchen to create these homemade dog treats.

I'd say by the look of Hogan's face he's a happy guy.

You could definitely replace the banana for mashed kumara or pumpkin to change it up.

I've had a go at homemade dog treats once before that used zucchini's which I liked but they weren't a very good consistency and I had trouble getting them to stay together to cook. It could be the gluten free flour or perhaps the load of peanut butter, but I found this dough really good and easy to work with.

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana
1 cup peanut butter
2 Tbls honey
1 and 1/2 cups Gluten free Flour (could use whole wheat flour, coconut flour, rice flour. I had this in my cupboard so used it and it made for a nice consistency in the dough)
1/4 cup Wheatgerm
1/4 cup Linseeds
1/2 cup Whole grain oats
