Introducing your new favourite holiday: Chippie-Mite Sandwich Day!

It’s official - Chippie-Mite Sandwich Day is here! 

Adam and Megan have been campaigning to give the humble Kiwi classic (Marmite/Vegemite + chips in bread) the recognition it deserves, and today it launched with a bang in Hawke’s Bay.

The great spread debate - Marmite vs. Vegemite - was alive and well, but we’ve settled on a name: The Chippie-Mite Sandwich. A bit of both, and a whole lot of crunch.

Local schools, daycares, and businesses got behind the movement with their own Chippie-Mite creations, and this morning we hit the road delivering workplace hampers to some lucky teams. 

Even the cast of Cirque Bon Bon (yes, the actual circus) dropped by for a surprise visit. Turns out, you can juggle a Chippie-Mite sandwich.

So from this day forth, may every October 17th be celebrated as Chippie-Mite Sandwich Day!
