Kiwi woman shares inspiring reason why we should embrace grey hair in 2023

It's something that will happen for everyone eventually: getting grey hairs.

And yet for many of us, we battle for years at the hairdressers trying to cover them up and dealing with regrowth - such a pain!

So in 2023, is it finally time to just embrace the greys!?

Adam and Megan caught up with one inspiring Kiwi woman who shared how she decided to let her gorgeous grey hair grow out and fully transition to silvery locks.

"I was colouring my hair every five weeks," Michelle - who is in her 50s - told Adam and Megan.

"The whites and the greys were coming through and of course during COVID [lockdown] we couldn't get to our hairdressers. So I just thought you know, damn it, I am going to transition and that's what I did and so now I'm rocking [it]."

Overall Michelle says going grey has been a "really positive experience" for her, and recommends people considering doing the same to chat with their hairdresser about transitioning to a natural grey look.

"It's actually quite stunning and a good haircut makes a big difference," Michelle said.

"[Going grey is] absolutely liberating,” Michelle added. "You know you're no longer a slave to sitting in the hairdresser for a couple of hours and you're not paying all that money. I think the other thing I feel liberated about, it's not conforming to that expectation that women [have to] colour their hair because we don’t."

We love it!
