This 'filthy' showering question has left Kiwis absolutely divided ...

Do you wash your legs when you take a shower?

It’s a simple question that it has gone absolutely viral and left the internet completely divided.

Twitter user Conor Arpwel put the question to the world and was shocked to discover that not everyone agreed with him on this act of cleanliness.

"For the record, I do wash my legs but lots of people apparently don’t!" he wrote online.

However, others online admitted that they did not wash their legs, reasoning that soap and shampoo run down them anyway during the showering process.

Laura, Sam and Toni decided to ask the same question to Kiwi listeners – and their answers were just as surprising! Watch above to hear what they had to say on the matter.

The argument has, however, likely been put to bed after a Women’s Health article from 2017 resurfaced saying that legs don’t always need to be cleaned.

MD and director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital, Joshua Zeichner apparently told that mag that "unless your legs are visibly soiled, you don’t actually need to wash them directly with a cleanser."

So, are you a leg washer?
