Expert Kathryn Berkett reveals how Kiwi parents can help their kids build resilience

Bullying is not just hard on kids, but it’s also hard on parents too.

Laura, Sam and Toni talked to neuroscience trainer Kathryn Berkett, about how and what parents should do when their children are being bullied.

Kathryn Berkett is a proponent of allowing our children to learn resilience and suggests it will actually help set kids up for success when they’re having to deal with tough situations as adults.

So when it comes to bullying Kathryn suggests that parents do not step in too quickly and that if their child isn't in a dangerous situation, allow them to figure out their own way through uncomfortable – yet not intolerable - situations, so that they can learn and grow.
