1/23
1/23 You need a tshirt, scissors and for precision a ruler and marker (I just went by eye coz I couldn't find a ruler) Lay it out flat on desk.
-
2/23
2/23 Cut off the sleeves. You can make this deeper if you want more length in your handles
-
3/23
3/23 Both sleeves off (save them aside, can use off cuts to tie up handles...that instruction is coming up)
-
4/23
4/23 Cut out the neck. Again you can cut this deeper. You can also use a bowl to perfect your circle. As you can see I threw caution to the wind and just cut
-
5/23
5/23 Neck off
-
6/23
6/23 I've cut lengths from the discarded sleeves to use as ties. Scrunch up sleeves and tie with skinny lengths
-
7/23
7/23 Tying up the shoulders/arms of bag
-
8/23
8/23 Bag handles
-
9/23
9/23 Cut tassels at bottom of TShirt. This is where you can use a ruler to mark height and distance between tassel strands. Make them shorter for a bigger bag. I used a nearby hits nail file for height and distance between (this is reeealll DIY peeps)

10/23
10/23 Measuring and cutting as I go
-
11/23
11/23 Continue along until all tasseled
-
12/23
12/23 Done
-
13/23
13/23 You'll need to cut the tassel at start and finish of tshirt in half so you can then start tying them together. I did double knots for strength. Tie the front strand to the back strand
-
14/23
14/23 Continue along until all knotted
-
15/23
15/23 Front to back strand/tassel knots
-
16/23
16/23 Just a lighter photo so you can see the knot action better!
-
17/23
17/23 All knots done
-
18/23
18/23 Now there may be some gaps between the knotted strands/tassels so this is where you start tying knots between left and right strands to close the holes
-
19/23
19/23 As you look along or pull the bag apart slightly you'll see where the gaps are so just tie strands across from one section to the other
-
20/23
20/23 Left to right, right to left tying action. Don't have to be too precious
-
21/23
21/23 Knots done
-
22/23
22/23 T.Shirt Bag finished............Now to get shoppin'

Getting my craft on today. Using up the husbands 'good for old' tee's (He's got a few of these piling up) and avoiding plastic bags whenever we can!
Great for shopping trips, putting gifts in for friends and family, school book bags, lunch bag, togs bag...for ALL your bag needs LOL.
I think they're pretty cute and saving the planet one bag at a time #reuse #recycle #repurpose
