This is a very sweet ending to a very very sad story.

15-year-old Cassidy Stay's world was shattered last month when her uncle shot and killed her mother, father, and her younger siblings while he was trying to find his ex-wife.

The youngster was the only one to survive the horrific ordeal after she  played dead (she was also shot in the head), and three days after the shooting she spoke at a memorial service  for her family. Cassidy's speech caught a lot of attention from Harry  Potter fanatics who noticed she quoted Albus Dumbledore, saying:

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers  to turn on the light."

Cassidy got a ton of support for her amazing courage and strength, and a Facebook group called "We want J.K.  Rowling to meet Cassidy Stay" was started in hopes of helping her meet  her favorite author.

Sadly, Cassidy never got a chance to met her face to face, but she DID write  a letter to the 15-year-old in the voice of Dumbledore, along with a wand and an  acceptance letter to Hogwarts.

The Facebook group announced the heartwarming news, saying:

"This afternoon, I talked to a friend of Cassidy's who confirmed that JK  Rowling did, in fact, write her a personalized letter from 'Dumbledore'  (hand-written with purple ink). She was also sent a wand, an acceptance letter  to Hogwarts with a school supply list, along with the 3rd book with JK's  autograph. I'm so excited and ecstatic that we were all able to make a  difference! How wonderful. However, I still really want JK Rowling to actually  meet her. We might just have to keep this page going until that actually  happens."

We can't even begin to say how amazing this was of J.K. Rowling to take the  time to send such a thoughtful gift to a young girl who has been through a LOT  lately. Hopefully they'll get a chance to meet face to face soon.
