Beau Dermott, 12, completely blew the judges (and the world) away with her 'Defying Gravity' audition on Britain's Got Talent last week.

But with the success has also come the haters...

Claims emerged that ITV producers opted to keep part of Beau Dermott’s back story quiet as it’s been revealed that the young singer 'received training from a prestigious stage school.'

The Daily Star claimed that the youngster has been receiving vocal coaching from the StagePro Academy in Warrington for the past four years, while the young talent has also won several talent shows in the past.

A Britain's Got Talent spokesperson told MailOnline: 'This story is ridiculous. Beau had singing lessons once a month for the past four years at Stage Pro Academy.

'Just because she has had singing lessons, it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t get nervous when performing as was stated on the show.'

Her parents, Ian and Karen Dermott have rubbished claims Beau had an unfair advantage, insisting she has only performed in "local" talent shows previously, and has had occasional vocal coaching.

Speaking at their home in Widnes, Cheshire, Beau's father Ian told the Mail Online: "Cheat is a big word and it's not nice."

“People are saying she’s been in theatre school for five years – she hasn’t,” he said.

“It might be once a month, it might be once in three months. Stage Pro is run by lovely people and we just go for a singing lesson as and when it suits.

He also stated that it would be "crazy" not to give kids experience in smaller contests to prepare them for bigger ones.

We agree! Leave the little star alone.
