Absolutely Fabulous Movie WILL Happen In 2015!

Jennifer Saunders has finally finished writing a movie of Absolutely Fabulous – 20 years after starting it.

Now the 56-year-old is determined it will be made by the end of 2015.

It is titled Edina and Patsy, after the sitcom’s main characters, played by Jennifer and Joanna Lumley, 68.

Boozy PR guru Edina’s daughter Saffy, played by Julia Sawalha, 46, and mum (June Whitfield) have been written into the film.

Jen told the Sunday People: “I’ve finished the first draft. I’m feeling euphoric. My proper New Year’s resolution is to do the film, otherwise it’ll be a pointless year of procrastination.”

Jen, who has beaten breast cancer, joked she would like to see Angelina Jolie, 39, replacing Lumley as Patsy and an orangutan playing her part.

“That would be funny, Angelina Jolie and an orangutan.”

In 2012, Jen resurrected Ab Fab for three episodes to mark its 20th anniversary.

The comedian was less successful with Viva Forever!, a musical based on the songs of the Spice Girls, that closed within six months.
