Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5 has dropped a re-released a version of their song Girls Like You.
The powerful video for the catchy tune has a number of poignant moments but none more emotional than when Levine's wife, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo, and their eldest daughter Dusty Rose, 1, appear behind the singer and then the three embrace for a heartwarming hug.
The video is very timely, as it honours strong women and female empowerment.
The new version of the song now features Cardi B and the rapping skills that have taken her to the top of the music charts.
The video begins with Adam, dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans, in the centre of a room surrounded by his bandmates as he sings lyrics like, "Girls like you/ Love fun, yeah me too/ What I want when I come through/ I need a girl like you."
The camera then rotates around him as some of the most famous and inspiring women appear one-by-one and dance and sing to the tune.
Major female players making appearances include the likes of Mary J. Blige, Rita Ora, Ellen DeGeneres, Tiffany Haddish, Sarah Silverman, Jennifer Lopez, Aly Raisman, Gal Gadot, Millie Bobbie Brown and Beanie Feldstein.
As for Cardi B’s collaboration with the band: it does not disappoint.
She spits out lyrics with rapid-fire like: "Not too long ago I was dancing for dollars / Knew it’s really real if I let you meet my mama / You don’t want a girl like me I’m too crazy/ For every other girl you meet it’s fugazy."
The video winds down with that sweet and touching moment where The Voice judge and his wife and daughter embrace in an emotional hug.
It then ends with the camera rotating around all of those famous women.
Girls Like You appears on the band's 6th studio album Red Pills Blue, which was released last November.
