Sonny Bill Williams is a father, his wife having given birth to a girl in the early hours this morning.Â
The 22-cap All Black missed training to stay in contact during the birth but he will not be flying home to New Zealand until after the test against Wales in Cardiff.Â
In a tweet this morning Williams described it as "the proudest moment of my life" and included a photo of the newborn's tiny foot.Â
Williams' sister Niall also shared the picture of the newborn's foot and said: "Welcome to the world little one... Thank you Alanah for making my brother the most happiest, luckiest and proudest man and now father in the world! I love all three of you so much."Â
Fellow All Black Charlie Faumuina has also confirmed that his second child has been born - and he too won't be going home before the final test of the year."Â
"We are delighted that Sonny and his wife Alana have had a little baby girl," said assistant All Blacks coach Ian Foster.Â
"He was following that event so we are delighted that the family is all good and on top of Charlie and Rochelle's second child last week, it has been a week of celebration for the All Blacks with babies.Â
"Sonny wasn't at training simply because he was monitoring the progress of his wife who did an outstanding job by all accounts."Â
