Ariana Grande's fans thought Spice Girls cover was a NEW song

Ariana Grande recently posted a phenomenal video of her singing Say You'll Be There by the Spice Girls.
Her version is lovely, but her younger fans didn't seem to pick up that it was a cover.
When she tweeted lines from the Spice Girls' 1996 hit on Twitter more than a few fans seemed to think she was leaking lyrics from a new track.
"New song?" one fan asked the star, wanting her to "spill the tea", which is slang for 'dishing the gossip'.

Ariana replied to the confused fan, writing: "OMG they're Spice Girls lyrics ... am I old?"
Meanwhile, in the comment section of her Instagram post, several fans demanded to know "what is this song?"
Thankfully, there were some Ariana fans who DID know who the Spice Girls are and joked that a "Spice Girls cover album [by Ariana Grande] needs to happen."
