Benedict Cumberbatch’s parents are indeed called Wanda and Timothy, and earlier this year it was revealed that he was in a relationship with Sophie Hunter, a theatre director.
The paper has since reported: The actor’s engagement to Sophie Hunter, a theatre director, is announced in The Times today. Cumberbatch, 38, who plays the title role in the BBC  drama Sherlock, and has become a global star with appearances in films such as 12 Years a Slave and The Imitation  Game, in which he plays Alan Turing, was listed by Tatler as one of Britain’s most eligible bachelors in 2012.
