Blake Lively is unrecognisable after debuting jet black pixie haircut!

When you think of luscious long blonde hair, you think of Blake Lively.

But the former 'Gossip Girl' star has gone to the dark side for her latest film, swapping her golden locks for a dark pixie cut - and we honestly didn’t recognise her at first!

Posting a video of her dramatic makeover on Instagram, Blake caption the image #TheRhythmSectionMovie.

And while this is not the first time we've seen the 30-year-old with a different hairstyle for the role; reports are saying Blake's new cropped look isn't just a temporary change.

Blake was photographed by paparazzi while on location in New York over the weekend wearing a long curly red wig.

As the actress removed the wig, she revealed the short, dark bob underneath, which has led fans to believe she's dyed her hair for real.

In the spy thriller - which is said to be released in 2019 - the mother-of-two plays a woman who seeks revenge against those who orchestrated a plane crash that kills her family.
