“I’m shocked people are shocked that I swore on TV,’’ Goodrem laughed.

Speaking to news.com.au for the first time since her walk off the set of The Voice over Jessie J’s critique of contestants, Delta admits she’s been amused by the reactions to her behaviour on The Voice this week, including the swearing.

“I’m being in the moment. We forget there’s cameras there sometimes,’’ she continued.

Delta says the fight and subsequent storm out occurred at 12.30am after “hours and hours and hours and hours” of auditions.

“There can be a lot of illusions with TV editing,’’ Goodrem said. “With the walk off, it was very different to the story (on air). But being the Aussie judge I really care about Australian artists.”

Goodrem laughed off any ‘feud’ with British singer Jessie J.

“I’m not into that. I’m all about the power of women. It is boring to pit females against each other. We have different opinions to Ricky and Joel and Benji too, it just wasn’t part of the story arc. When Jessie and I walk off set we’re friends. We have such respect for each other. We’ve just got different styles. It’s incredible we have an artist like Jessie, who is killing it around the world, giving the advice she does.”
