Delta Goodrem Storms Off The Voice Over Jessie J

Although we're a couple of episodes behind Australia, the most EPIC of meltdowns has happened on The Voice Australia!

Delta Goodrem and Jessie J had a showdown on the hit reality TV show over their opinions on a contestant- Brisbane singing teacher Tamara O’Callaghan who failed to get a judge to turn around during her rendition of Marilyn’s Monroe’s Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend.

Goodrem pulled off her microphone and stormed off after Jessie J disagreed with her critique of O’Callaghan’s performance.

“It felt like you weren’t serious, you know, and felt like you are hiding behind something, like who you are now is completely different to who you were 20 seconds ago,” Jessie J said to the contestant.

Goodrem snapped declaring, “I’m over this sh*t,” as she pulled out her earpiece and microphone before storming off saying, “I’m out.”

Delta claimed Jessie J was demeaning a contestant that she had been trying to let down gently. “I think I had, had enough of the tough love. I want to be someone who wants to encourage people’s dreams.”

The pair made a “truce” before the next contestant performed.

We definitely knew this was coming. When Stace & Flynny spoke to the host of the show Darren McMullen, he said it’s a much different judging panel. “It’s not going to be as fluffy as The Voice was in previous years. She (Jessie) will tell you if you suck. It took the rest of the judges a while to kinda go ‘Oh ok maybe this is where we’re going this season’”

The Voice Australia continues Fridays 7.30pm and Sundays 7pm on TV2!
