FIRST LOOK At Ed Sheeran In His First Serious Acting Role

We're about to see Ed Sheeran in a whole new light! The hit singer is set to be guest starring in the drama The Bastard Executioner on FX in the States.

What do you think of his new look?

The series is from the creator of Sons Of Anarchy Kurt Sutter and ed is set to play "the lethal right hand of a high-ranking church elder" according to EW. 

Don't expect Ed to be super comfortable though... 

He told EW, "I feel very out of place. I feel like I need a few more days to sink in to the idea of acting. I’m very good with a guitar in my hand, but I feel a bit lost without it. I think I just need more practice with acting. I’m glad no one is telling me I’m not good yet."

As for his costume, Ed said, "I’m wearing tights, which is interesting. It’s quite hard to pee in this. I haven’t even tried to go No. 2. That’s going to be quite hard. I did think it was going to be a lot hotter under the lights but I’m good."

The acting gig also explains why Ed had to cover up the lion tattoo with makeup... fooling a lot of people in the process!
