Jessica Simpson is making headlines yet again.

The proud mum took to Instagram to share a picture of herself with her daughter Maxwell, 5, in a MAC Cosmetics shop.

But while the photo looks totally innocent, fans were quick to slam the 37-year-old pop star.

Why?

Because they disagreed with Simpson’s decision to let her little girl wear purple lipstick.

According to the internet, Maxwell is too young to be wearing make up.

“Her favorite store?? OMG. She should be playing outside or learning about the world not sitting in a chair putting on make up at MAC. What's wrong with you,” wrote one.

“She's too young for make-up. Your going to regret it. Trust me,” commented another.

“I think it’s crazy for a 5 year old but that’s just my opinion,” a third said.
