JK Rowling OWNS Serena Williams Body Shamer

When a Twitter user tried to body-shame Serena Williams, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was having none of it.

The 33-year-old tennis ace had just won Wimbledon and Rowling tweeted to praise the star.

A Twitter user responded by writing "Ironic then that main reason for her success is that she is built like a man".

Rowling slammed the user by posting a picture of Williams in a tight-fitting red dress and towering heels. She wrote: "Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You're an idiot."

Antony Cotton wrote: "Good work, Madame. I salute you."

Williams had not responded to the exchange last night.

Williams beat Spain's Garbine Muguruza to win the Wimbledon women's final for the sixth time on Saturday.

The American won 6-4, 6-4 on Centre Court, completing her second "Serena Slam" by winning four majors in a row.

She will head to the US Open next month and, if victorious, will be the first player to win a calendar-year Grand Slam since Steffi Graf in 1988.
