Jordin Sparks isn't upset about split

Jordin Sparks isn't crying over her split from Jason Derulo.

The 'No Air' singer, who recently ended her relationship with the 25-year-old R&B star after three years of dating, broke her silence on Twitter on Friday (26.09.14) to assure her fans she is doing okay and has no regrets about their time together.

The 24-year-old beauty tweeted: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Meanwhile, 'Talk Dirty' hitmaker Jason insists there was nobody else involved in their split.

He told UsMagazine.com: "I spent three great years with Jordin and she is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met. But as in all relationships there are ups and downs and at this time we have decided to amicably part."

He added: "Infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our break-up, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives."

He also recently insisted there is no bad blood between them and blamed their break-up on their hectic work schedules.

On Thursday (25.09.14), he said: "Everything is cool, man. It's not a bad situation. You know, it's not one of those kinda things."

The former couple's split came as a shock to fans as just last month Jason gushed about the former 'American Idol' winner and said he instantly knew he wanted to marry her.

He said: "I knew that pretty early on. I felt that when I was in the hospital with my neck injury. I felt different ... I felt like I needed her in my world."
