Kristen Bell shares intimate pregnancy photos to celebrate her daughter's birthday

Three years ago Kristen Bell gave birth to her second child, Delta.

The 37-year-old commemorated the birthday by sharing flashback photos from her labour, the Daily Mail reports.

Kristen, who shares both of her children with husband Dax Shepard, offered fans a glimpse of her baby bump hours before her daughter's birth.

The following two photos in the Instagram slideshow depicted her undergoing painful contractions as her husband attempted to massage her back.

While yet another caught the comedic actress pretending to sexy dance with an IV pole during the stay at the hospital. 

The final image in the series showed Kristen holding her newborn baby girl just moments after the birth.

Kristen sweetly and hilariously captioned the post: 'Three years ago today. 47lbs heavier. Getting through painful contractions with backrubs and breathing. 

'Occasionally swinging from the IV pole to try and feel sexy and open up my hips. After 36 hours of labor I met a girl i love more than all the molecules in all the world.' 

'Happy birthday, Delta. Love, mom,' she wrote concluding her post.

Dax and Kristen married in 2013 after delaying their wedding until same-sex marriage was legal in the US. 

They began their relationship in 2007 and were engaged by 2010.

They also share another daughter, four-year-old Lincoln.
