Madonna has been very vocal about the November 13 attacks in Paris, and last night after her Rebel Heart Tour stop in the city of lights the entertainer decided to throw an impromptu free performance as a tribute to the people who passed.
After a quick Twitter announcement, she took over Paris’ Place de la République with her son David and guitarist Monte Pittman by her side. She performed an acoustic take of John Lennon’s “Imagine”.
During her Stockholm concert last month, a teary Madonna addressed Paris terror attacks: “Like, why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones? However, that is exactly what these people want us to do. They want to shut us up. They want to silence us. And we won’t let them.”
