Miley Cyrus changes pet piglet's name to Pig

Miley Cyrus has changed the name of her pet piglet to Pig.

The 'Wrecking Ball' singer took to her Instagram account today (03.09.14) to post a photograph of herself and the hog - formerly known as Bubba Sue - and added a caption which revealed the swine's strange new moniker.

She wrote to her 12.3 million followers: "can't handle the kiewness (ps bubba sue is now legally changed her name to PIG (aka pig pig) (sic)"

The pop princess adopted the animal in August when she described herself as the "Happiest mommy ever," posting several photos of her snuggling with the miniature porker to her social media accounts. 

However, it seems Miley quickly tired of the swine's original name, opting instead for the self-explanatory moniker.

In the last month, Miley has posted numerous photos of Pig on her Instagram account, including one of her kissing the animal and another in which the pink pet can be seen sniffing the kooky singer's Calvin Klein underwear. 

Other images have included a muddy Miley playing with the animal and another showing the '#Bangerz' hitmaker's handiwork after she painted the swine's hooves red.
