Longstanding Wiggles band member Anthony Field has been rushed to hospital while on tour in the United States.

The 55-year-old blue Wiggle received 12 stitches in his face, after he walked into a revolving door.

Anthony, who is the group’s only original member and has an estimated net worth of $20 million, took to Instagram to reassure fans he was feeling better after “walking the wrong way” into the door.

He also thanked the paramedics and the medical staff who treated him.

"Big thank you to the ambos and Doc Rice at the Tuft Medical Center in Boston! 12 stitches in my nose after walking the wrong way into a revolving door!" the beloved children’s entertainer wrote alongside a video of him being put into an ambulance.

In recent years the father-of-three has been very open with the public about his health battles, revealing he experiences “vision problems”.

We're wishing him a speedy recovery!
