Pink admits it was "embarrassing" going without sex for a year with husband Carey Hart.
The 38-year-old singer and the retired motocross champion - who have six-year-old daughter Willow and 10-month-old son Jameson together - have split twice over the course of their 10-year marriage, and in November the What About Us hitmaker admitted they hadn't engaged in sexual intercourse for 12 months.
Pink was left annoyed recently when a "rude woman" questioned her about speaking out about the lack of erotic pleasure in her life, but the pop star is adamant she shouldn't feel "afraid" to speak "the truth" about intimate details of her life, and neither should anyone else.
Recalling the woman questing her over the revelation in an interview with The Daily Telegraph newspaper, the musician fumed: "A rude woman came at me last night and said that must be awful. It had never happened to her. I felt a bit defensive. It was an embarrassing thing to say. It was an embarrassing thing to go through. But it was real. I'm not afraid of giving my truth, because some other woman somewhere is afraid something is wrong with her because her husband doesn't want to have sex with her. And I want her to know that's not the case. In my experience, you do the work [on your relationship] and it can be good again."
When she made her sex confession, Pink also admitted to having periods of believing her beau is a "rock", but they also have to "work" at keeping their romance monogamous.
She said previously: "There are moments where I look at [Carey] and he is the most thoughtful, logical, constant ... he's like a rock. He's a good man. He's a good dad. He's just the kind of dad I thought he'd be and then some.
"And then I'll look at him and go, 'I've never liked you. There's nothing I like about you. We have nothing in common. I don't like any of the s**t you like. I don't ever wanna see you again.'
"Then two weeks later I'm like, things are going so good, you guys. Then you'll go through times when you haven't had sex in a year. Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me?
"Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it's good again."
It isn't the first time the What About Us hitmaker has spoken of her tumultuous relationship with Carey either, as she previously admitted she used to hand her wedding ring back to him "every night" when they were going through a rough patch.
She said: "We have learnt the art of communication. I don't hand my wedding ring back every night like I used to. Because that's just dumb and I can't actually get it off."
