Prince William and Kate have unveiled their family holiday photo for this year and it is so sweet

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released their Christmas card for this year and it is very sweet.

Prince William and Kate Middleton stand behind their adorable children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2 - all dressed in complimentary shades of blue.

Posting the photo to Twitter, @KensingtonRoyal wrote: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are pleased to share a new photograph of their family. The image features on Their Royal Highnesses' Christmas card this year."

They go on to reveal that the photo was taken earlier in the year at Kensington Palace.

The man who took the snap, photographer Chris Jackson wrote on social media that he is "delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen to use this family portrait I shot as their Christmas Card this year."

In next year's festive photo the four royals will be joined by another little one, as the arrival of William and Kate's third child is expected in April 2018.

Meanwhile, Williams father Prince Charles has also unveiled his Christmas card for this year with his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

All we want to know now is if we will be getting an official Christmas pic from Prince Harry and his fiance Meghan Markle? Only time will tell!
