Ruby Rose plays Stella Carlin in Orange Is The New Black
The Australian-born Orange Is The New Black star recently revealed so chose not to undergo gender reassignment surgery despite wanting to start the process.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Rose said she had her mind set on the idea from a young age, “I had this jar where I would pledge dollars…towards this surgery that I didn’t know a lot about…I started saving, probably from the age of five."
By 15, she realized that she didn’t want to transition. She started changing the way she dressed and acted to reflect her true self. “I just wanted to be more comfortable in my own skin.”
At the age of 29, Rose is capturing everyone's attention, male and female alike, given her role on OITNB Season 3 which is available on Netflix.
She's also engaged to British designer Phoebe Dahl- granddaughter children's author Roald Dahl.
