Say it isn't so!!

Tabloid magazine New Idea are reporting that Terri Irwin has decided to step down as the boss of Australia Zoo and pass the reins on to her 19-year-old daughter, Bindi Irwin.

The rumours - which New Idea claims to have been supposedly confirmed by a close friend of the Irwin family - started swirling last week after Terri was noticeably absent from the Steve Irwin Gala Dinner in Brisbane.

According to the media outlet, the 53-year-old conservationist wants to focus on helping Robert build his career in America.

"She’s really excited about his photography and thinks he will be an even bigger worldwide name than his dad – the next David Attenborough," the source said.

The source also reportedly said Terri will still own the zoo, but Bindi will be running the day-to-day tasks in her absence.

However, a representative of the family has denied the report.
