Speculation has been rife for some time, and now Sam Smith has finally been able to reveal his next big career move!
The 23 year old singer took to Instagram to announce the news that he's singing the title song for the next Bond film Spectre by posting the following photo.

He captioned the post saying, "This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honoured to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song. I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations.  I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it. You can pre-order 'Writing’s On The Wall' on CD or vinyl using the link on my profile, or on iTunes from midnight."
Sam joins the likes of Madonna, Adele, Alicia Keys, Chris Cornell, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner, Paul McCartney and Tom Jones who have all recorded title songs for the movie series.
He sparked rumours on September 6th after sharing an image of a ring on his finger, featuring the symbol of an octopus with blade-like tentacles, which is similar to that of the fictional terrorist organisation featured in the 007 narrative.Â
