Sam Smith 'Unable To Speak For Three Weeks' Following Hemorrhage

Sam Smith has undergone surgery to repair a hemorrhage on his vocal cords, and it seems it was a success.

After waking up from surgery, Sam, who turns 23 next Tuesday, updated his fans on his status

Just woken up from op. I'm high on pain killers and listening to Whitney Houston hahahahaha

Sam spent his final day before surgery on Wednesday remaining silent. “Enjoying my last day of speaking,” he wrote on Instagram. “After today no speaking for three weeks. So if you see me on the streets sorry if you think I’m a dickhead and can’t say hello. Also gonna be silent for my birthday. Sounds fun aye?”
