Taylor Swift "was struck by this overwhelming sense of fear" right after she published an open letter to Apple on her Tumblr earlier this year.

"Absolute terror hit," she told Apple's Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe in a one-in-one interview.

Her letter criticised Apple for not paying artists royalties during their three-month free trial period.

But in the moments before Apple responded to her complaints, Swift was worried the tech titan would go so far as to hack her phone.

"I was struck by this overwhelming sense of fear," she told Lowe during an interview promoting her tour documentary that's premiering exclusively on Apple Music later this month. "Are they gonna turn my phone off? Are they gonna turn the video camera on? Are they watching me right now? Am I gonna wake up tomorrow and all my music is off of iTunes?"

Taylor also opens the interview by talking about how she was circled by a helicopter for 45mins whilst filming her new music video in New Zealand - forcing her to hide under towels.
