Taylor Swift v. Kim & Kanye: 'Destroy All Recordings'

Could this be the start of a showbiz feud/meltdown, the scale of which we've never seen before? Here's where we are now:

Kim Kardashian revealed to GQ in June that Taylor had demanded (in a letter) that all recordings of Taylor's conversation with Kanye West regarding the song 'Famous' be destroyed.

That letter, from Swift's attorney to Kanye, was sent in February - but yesterday Kim released the videos in a series of snapchat recordings.

TMZ is reporting that Kanye, 39, has now been threatened with legal action on the grounds that under California law, anyone who secretly records a telephone conversation with someone in the state is committing a criminal offense and a felony.

The recordings, which Kim supposedly released in an effort to defend her husband, show West talking to Swift on speakerphone.

The video appears to contradict claims that Taylor hadn't approved lyrics in West's song 'Famous', although Swift has posted on social media to raise a specific point:

So, who wins here? Time will tell - the only thing that's for sure is that this ain't finishing anytime soon. Will Taylor push legal action? Or will everyone just grow up a bit?

Another star of pop music, Selena Gomez, sums it up pretty well here:

Mic drop, we out. At least until the next escalation.
