The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki shares sad news about the show

Attention 'The Big Bang Theory' fans... We have some bad news for you.

Johnny Galecki, who plays Dr. Leonard Hofstadter, has revealed the hit TV comedy show will likely end after its twelfth season.

While speaking with reporters at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, the 42-year-old said, “The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [The Big Bang Theory] has been that we’re all going to be very sad when that day comes. But I think at this point everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.”

'The Big Bang Theory' is currently in the middle of its 11th season.

CBS renewed the show, which premiered in 2007, through to season 12.
