This Is What Darth Vader REALLY Sounded Like

Darth Vader is one of the most iconic villains in all of movie history but when Star Wars was in production, the cast and crew didn't know whether to find him scary or funny.

The actor in the suit was a man by the name of David Prowse and a documentary about the making of the sci-fi film shows what he really sounded like as the Sith Lord.

When shooting the original trilogy, Prowse would deliver the full lines for Vader even though George Lucas never intended to use his West Country voice in the final edit. He would eventually dub James Earl Jones' unmistakable voice over Prose's dialogue.
