Watch Jeremy Clarkson drive a tank though a shopping mall

Jeremy Clarkson has shocked Christmas shoppers by driving a tank through a wall and into the middle of a busy Dubai mall.

Footage shows Clarkson's tank smashing through a wall before being driven into the middle of the mall, and coming to a stop.

It narrowly misses one shopper seen walking by while using a cellphone, while others ran for cover.

The stunt was filmed as part of Clarkson's new car show The Grand Tour, which launched in New Zealand this week on Amazon Prime.

Also starring Richard Hammond and James May, The Grand Tour is Clarkson's latest TV offering after leaving the BBC's hugely successful franchise Top Gear in a cloud of controversy.

The streaming service has an introductory offer of $2.99 a month and also includes the shows Transparent and The Man in High Castle.
