Watch: Kiwi Lads Parody the Real Housewives of Auckland with the Real Houseboys of Waiheke

Move over Real Housewives of Auckland, there's a new reality show in town: The Real Houseboys of Waiheke. 

The parody follows two well-off blokes living the high life on Waiheke Island and their bizarre antics bare a similar likeness to the outlandish traits you might see on Auckland housewives version of the Bravo show. 

The video features Matt Earle and Josh Hall - who have worked on kiwi versions of The Bachelor and The Block and posted the video late last week.

Speaking to the Herald Matt said the idea just came to them. "We just thought it would be quite a funny topic and a good mainstream topic for a parody." 

"Cause we have all worked in reality TV we can deconstruct it pretty well and just mimic it accurately, and obviously the production is so important as well, which is why we really strived to make it look as slick as possible, which is the whole package I reckon."
