Why Kate Mulgrew Was Sometimes Put Inside A Cage As A Baby

Orange Is the New Black actress Kate Mulgrew revealed some pretty unusual secrets about her childhood in a recent interview with the U.K.’s ITV!

Turns out the actress was born with a FULL SET OF TEETH.

“They’re actually sort of — they’re pearlescent, they’re blue...And they’re very dangerous because the baby can swallow them.” Mulgrew's parenting had them removed for safety reasons.

However, Mulgrew also couldn't feel any pain as a baby.

“They built me a little cage, because I had no sense of pain until I was four years old...So I was born with teeth and had no sense of pain."
