We're all guilty of reading the entire internet on our phones before we actually fall asleep.
But as revealed in an article we posted late last year this is actually really bad for us, as the BlueLight emitted from the phone interferes with the production of the sleep hormone melatonin in the brain.
Currently, there are apps that can help reduce this but now Apple are adding it as a permanent function to the iPhone!Â
Apple are introducing 'Blue Light Reduction', which allows you to alter the temperature of the screen. It'll work on a typical iPhone 'slider' where you can manually adjust the back light to 'warmer' or 'cooler'.
Â
You can also schedule it so that it'll change at a specific time. Ideally this is for when the sun sets or rises so that the screen changes with the light of day.
The update is not yet available to the public and this new feature is still in its beta stages. IOS 9.3 will most likely be available in the next few weeks.
