A teenage dad in China has reportedly been jailed for three years after selling his 18-day-old baby daughter online so he could by an iPhone.
The man, known only as "A Duan", apparently made a deal with someone he met on a social media site called QQ to hand her over for £2,500.
According to the People's Daily Online, the unnamed buyer 'purchased' the baby for his sister.
But wait, it gets worse. The baby's mum, known only as "Xiao Mei" apparently told officers she didn't realise what she had done was totally illegal.
She allegedly told police: "I myself was adopted, and many people in my hometown send their kids to other people to raise them.
"I really didn't know that it was illegal."
